Is the ADF A Good Role Model?

The 2011 series of the DEFENCE 2020 – Is the ADF A Good Role Model? Youth Challenge Program was held around 15 cities across Australia.

The Youth Challenge Program brings together students from different schools, Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel and community representatives to explore many of the issues surrounding defence and Australia’s responsibility as a global citizen in the present and the future.

Years 9-11 students benefit most from the Youth Challenge Program, as it is particularly relevant to SOSE/HSIE, Citizenship Education, History and English curriculum areas.

Applications are now closed but teachers and students are reminded that the 2011 DEFENCE 2020 Participation Task is still open to all students who wish to partake. The winners of this event will travel to Canberra to attend the DEFENCE 2020 National Youth Challenge in October 2011.

Picture galleries from the year's events are posted below.
